& Vertical Tail
The tail assembly consists
of:
w Vertical stabilizer
w Rudder
w Horizontal stabilizer
w Elevator
The tail assembly stands
12" high and spans 30". It's constructed of balsa and carbon fiber,
with a lightweight clear covering of 21st Century Coverite MicroLite
iron-on film. The rudder and elevator both incorporate balance tabs that
substantially reduce servo torque requirements. This allowed the use of
weight-saving, metal-geared miniature servos (Hitec Model HS-65MG).
